Over the last few years, the number of reports that we have heard about current and former airport firefighters being diagnosed with various forms of cancer has increased. That is why we have launched a Cancer Awareness Campaign to better inform airport firefighters about the increased risks of cancer in their occupation and to find ways to help better protect them, on and off the job.

To help with this initiative, we have launched this survey to gather some data and statistics specific to the airport firefighter community that we can use in our public information efforts and to push politicians and policy makers for improved health and safety for airport firefighters. It may also help us to work with researchers and health professionals who are currently studying this issue.

All information we collect will be kept confidential. Members can choose to respond anonymously, or they can self-identify at the end.

We are asking all members who preform airport firefighting duties to please take the time to complete this survey. Also, please feel free to share it if you know of any retired airport firefighters you think might be interested.
